Creating Tenants
A tenant is a single view of a main platform which provides a dedicated share of data, configuration, user management, and interaction flow management. Each tenant belongs to a single region. A tenant owns all of it's own data and cannot access data from other tenants unless part of a parent/child tenant relationship and explicitly shared.
Only users with Platform Administrator permissions can create tenants.
Create a Tenant
To create a tenant using the configuration console:
- Go to Configuration > Tenants.
- Click Create.
- Enter a Tenant Name.
- Optionally, select a Tenant Admin.
The Tenant Admin is the user responsible for the system and your tenants. The field defaults to the user creating the tenant, and the list includes all of the existing platform users. - Optionally, enter a brief Description for the tenant.
Descriptions are recommended if you have a large number of similar tenants, to easily distinguish them and their purposes. - Select your tenant's Timezone.
- Click Submit.
Now that you have an available tenant, you can do things like add users, media items, telephony integrations, and interaction flows.
