Business Hours V1 to Business Hours V2  Configuration Conversion

Any version 1 (V1) business hours are converted to the upgraded business hours experience (V2) at the time of release. If you created V1 business hours, the following images and descriptions show how they appear when they are converted to the new business hours. No action is required on your part for the conversion.

Field Mapping for Configuration

  The Business Hours ID remains the same after conversion. The ID is located in the URL of the business hours.

When your business hours that were created in V1 are migrated to V2, you will see the information in the following places:

Business Hours V1 Business Hours V2
Business Hours Name Name: The business hours keeps the same name
Status The business hours status (enabled or disabled) remains the same after conversion.
Created By

The Created By user is listed for both the Business Hours and the Version
Created On

The original Created On date and time for the business hours remains the same after conversion.

The version's Created On value is the date and time when they business hours were converted from V1 to V2.

Last Updated By The last user to update the business hours in V1 remains listed after conversion.
Last Updated On The last date and time listed for Last Updated On in V1 remains the same in V2 after conversion.
Timezone

The Timezone is now listed in the Versions table in the Timezone column for the version. Each version has its own timezone, which can be different from other versions. The timezone for the active version is also listed for the Business Hours on the Business Hours Management page.

The timezone selected in Business Hours V1 is listed for the version it is converted to in V2.

Regular Hours 

  • Business Hours: 24/7

Regular Hours are now listed as rules in Hours and Exceptions with the Type Regular Hours.

For 24/7 business hours, the configuration is converted to the following in V2:

  • Rule Name: Regular Hours 24/7
  • Type: Regular Hours
  • Repeats: Daily, Every 1 day(s)
  • Start: January 1, 1970
  • Hours: All Day

Regular Hours

  • Business Hours: Scheduled
    • Start Time
    • End Time

Scheduled Hours are now listed as rules in Hours and Exceptions with the Type Regular Hours.

For scheduled business hours, each day is converted to an individual rule in V2. The configuration is as follows:

  • Rule Name: Regular Hours [day of the week]
  • Type: Regular Hours
  • Repeats: Weekly on [day of the week]
  • Start: January 1, 1970
  • Hours: Partial Day
    • Start Time: The time entered in Start Time in V1
    • End Time: The time entered in End Time in V1.

 Any exceptions specified in the business hours are now listed as a rule under Hours and Exceptions for the version with the Type Black Out One Time Exception.
