Set Up PC Workstations
The local PC computer user or a network administrator can install and configure the PROXY Pro Host workstation software.
A PC-based user workstation can have the PROXY Pro Host workstation software installed individually or via the PROXY Pro Software Deployment Tool.
- This topic describes the individual workstation installation process.
- Use the PROXY Pro Host Software Deployment Tool to deploy to numerous workstations.
PROXY Pro Host software works in conjunction with each user's profile discriminant, the Workstation ID, to make and maintain a connection between the workstation and the PROXY Pro Gateway for routing screen captured workstation activities to screen recording storage.
Each CxEngage user's profile has a text box named Workstation ID in the Details section of the profile. The workstation ID must be entered here or the workstation will not be recorded.
User Account > Profile > Details
Workstation ID text box: For each user that is to be screen recorded, enter the user's Domain and Username, for example, serenova~jjones. Be aware that the input format is: Domain~Username. Note the ~ symbol.
