PROXY Pro Host Software Deployment Tool
You must be a network administrator with administrative install rights to use the PROXY Pro Host Deployment Tool.
The PROXY Pro Host Deployment Tool is a utility that allows users to configure, download and install PROXY Pro Host Workstation software from a push computer onto many computers in the same domain rather than having to install the workstation software individually. It works for PC-based workstations.
Deployment Tool setup and use consists of:
- Locate and configure a push computer with PROXY Pro Workstation software tool.
- Download the PROXY Pro Deployment Tool, the 32- and the 64-bit PROXY Pro Host software files.
- Set up the tool with the 32-bit Host and 64-bit Host-x64.msi PC workstation files.
- Customize the PROXY Pro Host Workstation 32-bit and 64-bit software settings to the tenant's needs
- Transform the .msi file and configuration.
- Scan networks for domains and user workstation computers that are targets for installation.
- Install the software.
- Verify the installation and check operation of the software on the workstation.
Keep in mind that it is not uncommon for a customer site to have both 32-bit and 64-bit workstations deployed.

The application should be installed on a Domain Administrator's PC that is familiar with the network architecture. The Domain Administrator will be required to log into the workstation that will be used to deploy the PROXY Pro Host software.
Please read the following before beginning the procedure.
The PROXY PRO Software Deployment tool:
- Relies on the RPC Service to talk to the target machines when deploying software. Please ensure this is running.
- The Deployment Tool talks outbound to the host on TCP port 135.
- Administrative rights are required to install the software.

- Make sure that you have logged onto the push workstation using Domain Admin credentials.
- Click this link to download a .zip file that contains the PROXY Pro Host software and user guides:
- Find the Zip file for the PROXY Pro Workstation software and deployment tool and download it to the push workstation's Downloads folder.
- Directly on the push computer's C:\ drive, create a new folder labeled ProxyHost.
- In the Downloads folder, double-click the zip file and then double-click on DeploymentTool.msi The InstallShield Wizard opens.
- Click Next.
- Check the I accept the terms of the license agreement box and click Next.
- Use the default Proxy folder location and naming (C:\Program Files (x86)\ProxyNetworks) in the Destination Folder window and click Next.
- Click Install.
- When installation is complete, click Finish.
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Proxy Networks. There are two new folders: DeploymentTool and Host.
- Open the DeploymentTool folder.
- Double-click the PrxDeploy program.
- After a few moments, the PROXY Pro Deployment Tool window appears. The Start menu will have a new button for the utility, too.

Not all networks have either 32-bit or 64-bit computers. There is likely a mix. The deployment tool can be configured to deploy both, as needed.
