Play Screen-Captured Interactions from Evaluations

You must have the default Administrator or Supervisor or agent role or a custom role that includes the VIEW_PLAYBACK_CALLS and Quality > Evaluations > View permissions to play a movie from an evaluation.

There is not an auto-play feature in the media player. A recording sits in the Pause mode until the user clicks on the Play button in the Playback ribbon bar or the Play control button on the media player.

Users can play screen-recorded interactions from either:

  • A new evaluation being created.
  • An existing evaluation already created.

Playback a Movie from a New Evaluation

Start an Evaluation for a recording in the Playback tab with audio and screen captures. The audio and screen recording will attach to the evaluation form which results in the movie automatically playing back.

  1. On the Playback tab, select and double-click on the record for the audio and screen recording to be evaluated.
  2. Click on the Evaluate button.
  3. The Evaluation > New Evaluation tab and window pop up.
  4. The audio and screen recording files of the recording will be attached to the New Evaluation tab.
  5. If the recording has screen-captured video associated with it, then a Modify Play Options window appears offering two selections:
    • Play Audio Only: When selected, the media player appears at the bottom of the window to play the audio portion of a recording only. The player sits in the Pause mode upon opening.
Note: Click the pop-out icon located to the right of the waveform to separate the audio player from the Playback window.
    • Play Audio and Video: When selected, the media player window appears to play both the audio and screen captured video, in sync, of a recording. The player sits in the Pause mode upon opening.

Use the Screen Capture Player Screen and Controls to playback the recording.
