Remove User Workstations

You must be a network administrator or local user with uninstall rights to uninstall PROXY Pro Host workstation software.

When removing a workstation from Screen Recording:

  • Remove the PROXY Pro Host client software from the workstation.
  • Remove the host from the PROXY Pro Gateway.
  • Remove the Workstation ID discriminant from the user's CxEngage user profile. Required. If this is not removed, the user will be placed in the Unmanaged Users list in the PROXY Pro Gateway. This indicates not being completely removed.
  • When all software has been removed, recoup the screen capture license fo future use.

Uninstall PROXY Pro Host Software on the Workstation

Uninstall the PROXY Pro Host software from the PC workstation, which can be done manually on the workstation through the standard software removal process.

The removal of software from multiple workstations can be done in bulk with an alternative software deployment/removal tool.

Delete PROXY Pro Host Settings from the PROXY Pro Gateway

Be sure to delete the workstation from the All Hosts table in PROXY Pro Gateway Administrator or else the workstation will consume one of the available screen recording licenses.

The number of available licenses can be viewed in the PROXY Pro Gateway Administrator by selecting the licenses tab available when viewing the general setting properties of the Gateway Server Settings.

  1. Launch the PROXY Pro Gateway Administration program on the PROXY Pro Gateway server.
  2. Access the Local Gateway » Managed Hosts » All Hosts folder.
  3. In the All Hosts folder, locate the workstation to be removed.
  4. Right click on the workstation and click Delete from Gateway.

Be sure the software has been uninstalled from the workstation before deleting it from the Proxy Gateway! If the software has not been uninstalled, the workstation will return to the All Hosts or Unmanaged Hosts folder.
