Create Content Folders

You must have the default Administrator or Supervisor role or a custom role that includes the Quality > E-Learning Library > Create permission to create E-Learning folders and materials for the E-Learning Library.

E-Learning Content folders are found on the left-hand side of the of the Library window. Click on the right-pointing arrow to expand or the left-pointing arrow to contract the folder workspace. Existing folders will be displayed. Folder controls (New, Modify and Delete) are found at the bottom of the workspace. A Default folder is provided to start.

Create New Folders

  1. On the Coaching & E-Learning > Library tab, expand the folder workspace by clicking on the right-pointing arrow.
  2. At the bottom of the workspace, click the New button. The New Folder window will appear.
  3. Enter the name of the new folder in the Folder Name text box. Use names relevant to the purpose of the folder such as Agent Interactions or Remediation Training.
  4. Click OK to save this folder or Cancel to exit. The folder will appear in the folder workspace as a folder alphabetically over or under the Default folder.

Create Sub-folders in Folders

  1. If a sub folder is desired, click on the parent folder first, such as Agent Training, before clicking on the New Folder icon. The folder tree structure can accommodate up to 3 folders levels deep.
  2. A New Folder window will appear. Enter a Folder Name such as Agent Documentation or Process Documentation in the text box. Click OK to save the sub-folder in the parent folder in the folder workspace. Click Cancel to abandon this effort.
  3. Select the right-pointing arrow button to the left of the parent folder to expand and view sub folders. Select the left-pointing arrow to collapse the view.

Rename Folders

  1. Highlight the folder and click the Modify button at the bottom of the folder workspace.
  2. The Modify Folder window will appear. Modify the name and click OK to save.

Delete Folders

  1. Users can only delete a library folder if no content remains in the folder or any sub folders underneath and they have the Delete permission. If the content is In Use by any assignment, an error message will appear stating “Item In Use, cannot delete.
  2. If the folder to delete is empty, select and highlight the desired folder to delete.
  3. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the folder workspace.
