Modify CxQM User Roles

Only custom roles sync'd from CxEngage can be modified.

You must have the default Administrator role or a custom role that includes the CxQM Administration > User Roles > Modify permission to modify a custom CxQM User Role.

Changes to a user role affect ALL users assigned this user role. For example, a change to the Supervisor user role will affect ALL users with the Supervisor user role. Before modifying a user role, consider creating a new, custom user role with selected permissions, instead.

If the custom CxQM user role needs modification:

  1. Go to the Administration > User Roles tab. The User Roles table appears.
  2. Select a user role by double-clinking to highlight the row from the available list of roles.
  3. Click Modify Role.
  4. The Modify Role pop-up window appears.
  5. The role name, description and certain permissions are grayed out and cannot be modified; however other selections will be available.
  6. Check the box(es) of the feature modules or permissions needing a change. For example, a supervisor may be granted permission to view a resource, such as a dialed number (Administration > Contact Point > View), so this box would be checked. Refer to the CxQM Permissions by Role topic for expanded information for available permissions.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Cancel to exit without changes.

After modifying a role, all affected users, such as Supervisors, must log off and log back on or refresh their browser to be granted the updated feature permissions.
