Quick Filtering

You must have the default Administrator, Supervisor or Agent role or a custom role that includes the VIEW_PLAYBACK_CALLS permission to use the Recordings > Playback columns quick filtering.

Quick Filtering features allow the user to filter to the most useful information by multiple parameters. The Quick Filtering funnel icon on the right-side of column headers can be used simultaneously with sorting and multiple quick filters within columns.

To filter the data in the Playback window column for a specific measurement or value:

  1. Locate the header of the column to be filtered.
  2. Click Quick Filter icon (funnel) for the column.
  3. Each column has its own pop-up window with unique values available fom that particular column. Multiple values can be selected.
  4. The standard Quick Filter window has the following options:
    1. Each unique piece of data can be selected with its own checkbox. Select as many checkboxes as desired to include in the filter. To select all checkboxes and exclude a few pieces of data, click Select All and uncheck the data desired to exclude.
    2. To either type a direct value or copy/paste a value, use the Show items with the value that: drop-down menu and the value field text box below. A second OR value is available in select quick filters for advanced filtering. The options available in the drop-down menu are:
      • Is equal to: Fill in the value field with an exact value, such as “234567”.
      • Is not equal to: Fill in the value field with an exclusion value, such as “Supervisor”.
      • Starts with: Fill in the value field with the first few characters of the value. “800-”.
      • Contains: Fill in the value field with specific characters in the value, such as“871”.
      • Does not Contain: Fill the value field with specific characters that exclude a value, such as “test”.
      • Ends with: Fill in the value field with the last few characters of the value, such as “-6900”.
      • Is blank: Not used at this time.
      • Is not blank: Not used at this time.
      • Time-related columns such as Start Time, End Time Quick Filters request a value in the HH:MM:SS format. Move the slider(s) to the appropriate Hour, Minute or Second or click the Now button for the current time.
      • The Rec Duration Quick Filter allows for minimum and maximum time values in seconds, minutes or hours.
      • The Screen Capture Quick Filter has a true/false selection.
  5. When finished adding Quick Filter values, click Filter or close the window.
  6. The Playback tab should refresh with the desired filtering.

Clear All Column Quick Filters on the Playback tab

  • Click Clear Filter(s).
  • All filter parameters for the desired column will clear and retain Quick Filter options in other columns.

Clear a Column Quick Filter

  • On the column to clear, click on the Quick Filter icon.
  • Click the Clear button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
  • All filter parameters for the selected column will clear while retaining Quick Filter options for other columns.
