Custom Attributes Tab

You must have the default Administrator, Supervisor or Agent role or a custom role that includes the VIEW_PLAYBACK_CALLS permission to use the Recordings > Playback > Custom Search button.

The Custom Search > Custom Attributes tab is used to set recording search parameters for one or more custom attributes. Custom attributes allow customized data to be attached to interaction data.

Set a search parameter for one or more custom attributes by:

1. In the Custom Search Criteria window, navigate to the Custom Attributes Tab. A list of available custom attributes displays.
2. For each attribute you want to include in the search, enter an appropriate value.
   Note: Within the Custom Search Criteria window, any text field will accept a wildcard search or a string of values. Separate multiple values with a semicolon (;) to separate a string of items such as alan; judy.
   Add a wildcard (*) character to search for characters before and/or after a set of numbers or letters. Inserting a wildcard at the end of string (te*) will search for values that begin with those characters. Inserting a wildcard at the beginning of a string (*9) will search for values that end with those characters. Inserting a wildcard at both the beginning and end of a string (*6*) will search for values that contain the character.
3. At the bottom of the Custom Search Criteria window:
   • Click OK. This will commence the search using the custom attributes search criteria.
   • A progress indicator appears as the search process proceeds.
4. When the search is complete, a Search Results window is shown with the results of the search (recording records) listed in chronological order.
5. Search results can be saved, exported, downloaded or emailed, as needed.
