Resources Tab

You must have the default Administrator, Supervisor or Agent role or a custom role that includes the VIEW_PLAYBACK_CALLS permission to use the Recordings > Playback > Custom Search button.

The Custom Search > Resources tab is used to set recording search parameters for one or more resources. Resources are, currently, dialed numbers such as DNIS, toll-free and PSTN.

In the lower right-hand corner of the Custom Search Criteria > Options tab is a small double-line triangle. Users can click on it to drag the corner of the window in or out to adjust the window size. All associated text boxes and grids expand in unison.

Set a search parameter for one or more resources by:

  1. In the Custom Search Criteria window, navigate to the Resources Tab.
  2. Search text box: Here on the Resources tab, this quick search text box provides users with a quick filter search of the Available and Selected Resources grids. Entering a Resource, Description of Type will immediately refine the list to display only those items that match what was entered.
  3. If looking for a specific DNIS dialed number, enter the dialed number into the DNIS text box. When the custom search is run, your selections will be displayed in the results.
    1. Separate multiple dialed numbers with a semicolon (;).
    2. Add a wildcard (*) to a set of letters or numbers to search for a string.
  4. Or, select the specific dialed number(s, such as a toll-free number, from the Available Resources table and move it to the Selected Resources table. Sort the columns by clicking on the any of the column headers in the Available Resources table.
  5. Select one or more dialed numbers to use in the search from the Available Resources table by:
    1. Using the SHIFT and/or CTRL key while selecting.
    2. Drag and drop your selection to the Selected Resources table or click Add (>>).
    3. To remove a selection in the Selected Resources table, select the resource and click Remove (<<).
  6. At the bottom of the Custom Search Criteria window:
    • Click OK. This will commence the search using the recordings search criteria.
    • A progress indicator appears as the search process proceeds.
  7. When the search is complete, a Search Results window is shown with the results of the search (recording records) listed in chronological order.
  8. Search results can be saved, exported, downloaded or emailed, as needed.
