Saving and Removing Visualizations in the Visual Gallery

The Visual Gallery in Historical Reporting consists of saved charts, crosstabs, KPIs, and tables. After you create a visualization in Analysis and save it to the Visual Gallery, you can add it to custom reports and dashboards.

Saving Visualizations to the Visual Gallery

  1. Go to Reporting > Historical Reporting.
  2. Click an existing analysis on the home page that contains the data that you want to visualize or the visualization that you want to save.

If you don't have an existing Analysis that you want to use, create a new one. A single analysis can have multiple visualizations in it.

  3. On the table or chart that you want to add, click Add to Visual Gallery ().
  4. In the Add to Visual Gallery window, enter the following details:
    • Panel Title: This title is how the chart is listed in the Visual Gallery.
    • Panel Description (Optional): A description of the visualization.
  5. Click Done.

Removing Visualizations from the Visual Gallery

You can remove a visualization from the Visual Gallery while creating or editing a report or dashboard. Removing a visualization from the Visual Gallery doesn't delete it from the analysis where it originated from. If you need to add the visualization back to the Visual Gallery, go to the analysis that contains it and add it again.

If the visualization you removed exists on a report or dashboard, it remains on the report or dashboard after it is removed from the Visual Gallery. When you open the Visual Gallery on the report or dashboard that contains the visualization, it is still listed. However, when you create a report or dashboard, or open an existing one that doesn't contain the removed visualization, the visualization is no longer listed in the Visual Gallery.

To remove a visualization while in a custom report:

  1. On the Historical Reporting home page, click an existing report or click Author Report in the sidebar to open a new report.
  2. Drag and drop a New Visual element to the design canvas.
  3. In the Visual Gallery window that opens, click Delete from List next to the visualization you want to remove from the Visual Gallery.
  4. In the message that is presented, click OK to confirm the deletion.
  5. Click Done.

To remove a visualization while in a custom dashboard:

  2. On any of the tabs, click the gear () next to the tab name.
  3. Click Add from Visual Gallery.
  4. In the Visual Gallery window that opens, click Delete from List next to the visualization you want to remove from the Visual Gallery.
