Scheduling Reports, Dashboards, and Analyses in Historical Reporting

You can schedule a custom report, dashboard, or analysis to be emailed to designated recipients once or on a regular basis. By default, reports and dashboards are sent in PDF format. Analyses are sent in Excel format. To view a list of all your scheduled items, go to the Schedule Manager.

  Scheduled items are sent from delivery@cxengage.net. If you or any of the intended recipients aren't receiving them, check your junk or spam folders and ensure that you are allowing emails from delivery@cxengage.net.

To schedule a report, dashboard, or analysis:

  1. Go to Reporting > Historical Reporting.
  2. Click Home.
  3. Click the clock () next to the item you want to schedule to send by email.
  4. In the scheduler configuration window that opens, enter the following email details:
    • To: Enter the recipients email addresses. Separate multiple addresses with a semi-colon (;).
    • CC: Click to add a CC (carbon copy) field. Enter any email addresses that you want to CC on the email. Separate multiple addresses with a semi-colon (;)
    • BCC: Click to add a BCC (blind carbon copy) field. Enter any email addresses that you want to BCC on the email. Separate multiple addresses with a semi colon (;).
    • Subject: Enter a brief subject description.
    • Format If available, select the format in which you want the report delivered.
    • Message: Enter the text of the email message.
  5. In the same scheduler window, configure the Schedule details:
  6.   Enter all scheduled times (start times, end times, start date, end date) in the UTC timezone.
    • Once: Schedules the analysis, report, or dashboard to generate and send one time only.
    • Hourly: Schedules the analysis, report, or dashboard to generate and send every n hours.
    • Daily: Schedules the analysis, report, or dashboard to generate and send every n days.
    • Weekly: Schedules the analysis, report, or dashboard to generate and send every n weeks.
    • Monthly: Schedules the analysis, report, or dashboard to generate and send once a month for the specified months.
  7. Click Done to save your schedule settings.

    The clock icon turns green () to indicate that the item has a schedule associated with it.

After you save the schedule, you can click the clock icon to:

  • Generate the analysis, report, or dashboard: Click Run Now to generate the analysis, report, or dashboard and email it to the designated recipients. The length of time that it takes to generate the item depends on the amount of data it contains.
  • Make updates to the schedule: Make any necessary changes and click Done to save them.
  • Remove the schedule from the analysis, report, or dashboard: Click Remove to remove the schedule. You can configure a new schedule later if it's needed.
