Making Outbound Calls and Messages from Salesforce Classic

From Salesforce, you can initiate an outbound Skylight voice or SMS interaction. This feature is only available when you are in a Ready state.

When you are working with a Salesforce record, you can click the phone number provided in the record.

  You can also initiate an outbound interaction from Skylight. See Placing Outbound Calls in Skylight.

To initiate a voice or SMS interaction from Salesforce:

  1. In Salesforce, click the number you want to contact.

    Skylight displays a panel with contact options.

  2. Click one of the following options:
  3. Initiates a voice call.
    Initiates an SMS.
  4. Proceed with your interaction in Skylight.
