Making Outbound Calls and Messages in Salesforce Lightning Experience

From Salesforce, you can initiate an outbound Skylight voice or SMS interaction. This feature is only available when you are in a Ready state.

When you are working with a Salesforce record, you can click the phone number provided in the record.

  You can also initiate an outbound interaction from Skylight. See Making Outbound Calls and Messages in Salesforce Lightning Experience.

To initiate a voice or SMS interaction from Salesforce:

  1. In Salesforce, click the number you want to contact.

    Skylight displays a panel with contact options.

  2. Click one of the following options:
  3. Initiates a voice call.
    Initiates an SMS.
  4. Proceed with your interaction in Skylight.
